My name is Stuart Ferguson and I am an Exercise Physiologist here at Faultless Fitness. The human body is an incredibly complex and intricate series of biological systems and I am interested in how we can adapt these systems for desired health and performance outcomes! Research is constantly changing and being updated and as a sports scientist I firmly believe it is my job to stay on top on current literature to be able to apply it to my practice.
I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2014 with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science. I was then fortunate enough to gain an athletics scholarship in the USA. Whilst in the states I competed in Track and Cross Country for Lamar University (Texas) while studying for a Masters in Kinesiology. The states were a great experience, allowing me to further my education while competing at a high level in races across the country. My greatest achievement with the team was winning the Southland Conference Championships XC each year I was there!
Some of my most interesting academic work has involved physiological testing on breast cancer patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, pre and post testing on individuals spending time in the French alps and analysing athletes performance variables hindered by the Texas heat and humidity!
Stuart is an Exercise Physiologist at Faultless Fitness. Having studied sport and exercise science at degree level in the UK and postgraduate level in the USA he has been exposed to a wide range of experiences and is hoping to use this knowledge to help individuals improve their quality of life. He also has a keen interest in helping athletes improve sporting performance!
